One of the unique and exciting feature of Emil Chronicle Online is the Marionette system. A marionette is magical doll/puppet, which a Player can temporarily transform into. Transforming into a marionette temporarily increases all attributes of the player and allows the use of special skills or abilities unique to that marionette. For instance, transforming into an Insmouse will allow you to breathe underwater.
However, there are some limitations in using Marionettes.
- Transformation into a marionette only last for 3 minutes. And there is a long cool-down time before you are allowed to transform into a marionette again.
- You need to have the specific marionette summoning item in your inventory and fulfill all the necessary requirements to use that summoning item.
- There are certain areas where you are not allowed use a marionette.
- There are certain situations or events when you cannot use a marionettes. For instance, you cannot transform into a marionette when under Spiritual Possession. Furthermore, you cannot transform when you have exceeded your Weight or Capacity limit.
- Stepping into a warp portal or moving into another map zone will immediately cancel your marionette transformation.
Electell Marionette
In order to transform into a Marionette, you need to have the specific Marionette item in your inventory. For example, if you want to transform into an Electell, you need to have the Electell Marionette (
) in your inventory.

Ways to Obtain Marionettes
- You can obtain marionettes from monster drops. To find out which monsters may drop marionette item, see Marionette Items.
