Every time your character's basic level goes up, you gain bonus points which you can freely allocate to increase your character's basic attributes. Increasing any of the basic attributes affects the performance of your character on certain areas governed by that attribute. For example, adding strength (STR) will increase the damage you deal to monsters as well as let you carry more weight.

Character Status Window
To view and allocate points to your basic attributes, press the default hotkey combination Ctrl+A or type /ui_status on the chat box to open the character status window.

Basic Attributes

STR (Strength)

Increases the following attributes:

  • ATK (physical attack power)
  • Max Wt (weight)

DEX (Dexterity)

Increases the following attributes:

INT (Intelligence)

Increases the following attributes:

VIT (Vitality)

Increases the following attributes:

  • DEF/M.DEF (physical and magic defense)
  • HP (hit points)
  • SP (stamina points)
  • Max Wt (weight)

AGI (Agility)

Increases the following attributes:

  • Atk Spd (physical attack speed)
  • Eva(M) (ability to avoid melee attacks)
  • Eva(R) (ability to avoid Range attacks)
  • Decrease chance of receiving critical attacks

MAG (Magic)

Increases the following attributes:

ATK (Physical attack power)

Affects the damage you deal to enemies when using melee and range physical attack weapons.

  • Minimum attack power
    • Melee attack (swords, dagger, claw, hammer, spear, axe, etc.) - Increased by STR and DEX
    • Range attack (long-range weapons like bow, gun and thrown weapon) - Increased by STR and INT
  • Maximum attack power
    • Increased by STR

M.ATK (Magic attack power)

Affects the damage you deal to enemies when using magical attack skills.

  • Minimum magic attack power
    • Increased by MAG and INT
  • Maximum magic attack power
    • Increased by MAG

Hit(M) (Melee attack hit rate)

Increases chance of hitting enemies with short-range melee attacks.

  • Increased by DEX and Level
   Formulas:
       S.HIT = DEX + floor[DEX / 10]11 + LV + 3 + EquipmentAndSkillsFactor 

Hit(R) (Range attack hit rate)

Increases chance of hitting enemies with long-range attacks(i.e., bow, gun and thrown weapons).

  • Increased by INT and Level
   Formulas:
       L.HIT = INT + floor[INT / 10]11 + LV + 3 + EquipmentAndSkillsFactor

DEF (Physical defense)

Reduces physical attack damage received from enemies.

  • Increased by VIT
  • Capped at 70
   Formulas:
       BasicDefenseForce(LeftEquipmentDEF) = floor[VIT / 3] + floor[VIT / 9]2

M.DEF (Magic defense)

Reduces magic attack damage received from enemies.

  • Increased by INT and VIT
  • Capped at 70

Eva(M) (Evasion against Melee attack)

Increases chance to avoid melee physical attack damage from enemies.

  • Increased by AGI and Level
  • Maximum value of 400

Eva(R) (Evasion against Range attack)

Increases chance to avoid damage from enemies using range attack.

  • Increased by AGI, INT and Level
  • Maximum value of 400

Atk Spd (Attack Speed)

Increases attack speed.

  • Increased by AGI
  • Maximum value of 800

Cooldown (Affects casting speed)

Increases casting speed of magic attack skills.

  • Increased by DEX
  • Maximum value of 800

HP (Hit points)

The amount of damage that a unit can sustain before it dies or is otherwise destroyed.

  • Increased by Job, VIT and Level

MP (Mana points)

Consumed when you use magic-related skills.

  • Increased by Job, MAG and Level

SP (Stamina points)

Consumed when you use non-magic-related skills.

  • Increased by Job, INT and Level

Max Wt (Weight)

Increases the maximum total amount of weight of items and equipments you are allowed to carry. Exceeding this amount will disable your abilities to move, attack and use skills.

  • Increased by Race, Job, STR and VIT

Max Cap (Capacity)

Increases the maximum total amount of content of items and equipments you are allowed to carry. Exceeding this amount will disable your abilities to move, attack and use skills.

  • Increased by Job, DEX and INT.
  • Basically every 5 DEX adds 1, and every 10 INT also adds 1.
  • For Novice it may sometimes increase by 1, sometimes by 2.
